We are passionate about teaching you up-to-date evidence-based information on birth and baby care in a clear way. Learning the facts will help inform your decisions. Knowledge is power!
All About Options
You can’t make informed choices if you don’t know your options, that’s why we offer this course! We talk about all the different ways to birth and parent your baby. Importantly we also cover how to advocate for your wishes.
Practical Labor Coping Tools
As doulas we help people find coping tools that work for them. In this class we will practice breathing techniques, positions, some hands-on stuff, relaxation and more, so that when labor hits you’ll be able to ride the waves.
Engaging & Fun
We offer refreshing ways to learn without being lectured to. Filled with easy to digest practical information and engaging activities, this course uses tried and tested methods to help you absorb the information. After all, a tool is no good if you don’t have it with you!
No Judgement
We cover ALL of your options with zero judgement. There are enough people telling pregnant folks what to do. We trust that you know what is best for you and your baby.
Honest Discussions
This isn’t your grandma’s childbirth education. Let’s talk about the things that are on your mind: sex after birth, will I poop pushing out my baby, living in a postpartum body and more.
What You Get In Our Prenatal Class
Our group prenatal class is currently virtual. Our comprehensive prenatal education is taught over 4 sessions of two hours. This ensures that you aren’t stuck at a computer for a whole day but allows time to digest the information and have your questions answered. Importantly we will practice your new skills so that when the real deal begins, you will feel prepared and confident! Private classes are also available.

Group Prenatal Classes
Virtual prenatal classes are held over 4 sessions of two hours on Tuesdays at 7PM. Classes are small groups (max 6 couples/pairs) so register today!

Meet Your Teacher
Heather Collins
Heather Collins is a true renaissance woman who teaches from a unique place as a certified birth doula, parent and scientist with a PhD in Biology. Don’t worry, she distills her knowledge of birth and baby care into clear concepts, practical tools and interactive exercises to help you understand your options and alleviate anxiety. Her fascination and excitement about the intricacies of pregnancy and birth are contagious. This enthusiasm is anchored to her focus on evidence-based care, a commitment she honours by furthering her own education at every opportunity. She also values the intuitive nature of birth and parenting, having experienced it herself, and wants to help people explore their inner parent through this course.
